The most recent Field Day EAVISION took place in the region of Maceió (AL). In partnership with APtech, the practical experience began at the end of July and continued until the beginning of August. During these days flights were made with the EA-30X drone in predominant sugarcane growing areas – three mills and one cooperative.
One of the main advantages of using spray drones EAVISION is that they have unique technology for precise operations, regardless of terrain conditions. A practical example was the efficiency demonstrated at one of the plants in the region visited.

The commercial manager reports that, in the areas where the drone flights were carried out, all planting is done manually with a hoe and spraying is done with a backpack pump.
In this way, the initiative to use the drone EAVISION This area provides greater safety, dignity and quality of life for local workers, as they do the work manually in difficult and dangerous terrain, under strong sun and weather conditions that are unfavorable to health.
To complement this, the plant also has other models of agricultural drones for spraying, but only with the drone EAVISION They were able to successfully carry out the operation in this location – due to the complexity of the terrain and specificities of the area.

In this way, the drone EAVISION stands out because it is intelligent enough to fly in difficult environments without necessarily human intervention, which reduces costs and increases productivity.
Results and differences of the EA-30X EAVISION drone
At the plant in Maceió, the drone EAVISION, went up and down the hill, at a flying height of 4 meters. “The operation took place 100% at RTK with 8 m application range, average working speed 5 m/s, droplet diameter 200 microns and flow rate of 10 L/ha”, informs Agostinho.
The intelligence of the drone EAVISION – the only one on the market that allows it to operate satisfactorily in complex terrain – comes from a set of improved sensors composed of Lidar, Ultrasound and Radar, which does not require 3D mapping and reaches any type of rough terrain, guaranteeing uniformity of the drop (without the ladder effect).

“In this way, at this plant, the drone presented an operational yield of approximately 7 to 9 ha/hour, an average flight of ten minutes”, informs Agostinho. “It is important to highlight operational safety, as the drone does not require correction during flight by the pilot”, he reinforces.
The drones EAVISION are also equipped with a robust spray system with rotating nozzles that provide greater uniformity of coverage, regardless of the flow rate in liters per hectare. “This system allows the configuration of the droplet diameter from 20 to 250 microns without manual replacement, just with configuration in the flight APP”, explains the commercial manager.
